Hot Summer 2017

Launched in 2011 the namesake brand Amir Slama has the beach as a reference and always brings a contemporary, casual and urban air, easy to use – not only on the beach but also in the city. The pieces are designed to offer comfort, beauty and versatility. A thorough search of fabrics, yarns, shapes and prints are part of the whole development process to emphasize the modeling and trim of parts, the brand’s main focus. In their new collection presented during the São Paulo Fashion Week and named “Tropical Jungle,” Slama refers to the 1950s and 1980s: Long scale women’s fashion sketches, women’s underwear and cabarets.

Inspired by the universe of pop divas, the designer brought modeling derived from the construction of corselets transformed into tops, swimsuits, dresses, pants and skirts. The sensuality of the pieces is highlighted with fabrics such as Neoprene, Jersey, Silk and Tulle, as well as the satin that contains elasticity – created in Italy especially for the collection. Sequins and metals have also been developed in various sizes and applied to the embroidery in a tonal overlap.

For the summer season, Amir Slama bets on black and gradually takes his color chart to “hot” tones like pink, purple, orange and white.
