Baía
dos Golfinhos (Dolphin Bay):
Close to Anhatomirim Island, the Baia dos Golfinhos
is an environmental protection reserve created to preserve
dolphins. Around 70 of these marine mammals live in
the area.
Visits are carried out in a manner that does not disturb
the local equilibrium; boats must arrive with engines
almost idling and then switch them off, in order to
avoid interfering with the dolphins’ delicate
sonar.
