What is included in the daily rate?

Rates include breakfast, welcome drink, fruit basket in the bungalow, afternoon tea, Wi-Fi and parking. Clay tennis court, canoe, wellness center, cinema, games room with pool and indoor heated swimming pool are also available free of charge.

How do I make a reservation?

How do I confirm my reservation?

Confirmation is by payment of a deposit of 50% within 48 hours of making your reservation. Payment can be made by bank deposit or credit card, with the balance payable at check-out, together with any incidental expenses incurred. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners.

What should I do if I need to cancel my reservation?

Requests for cancellations or alterations must be made in writing, sent directly to the Resort’s reservations department via fax (+55 48 3953 7046) or by e-mail (reservation@pontadosganchos.com).

Cancellation and Alteration Policies:

When the request is received 30 days or more before the check-in date, a cancellation fee of 5% of the total amount will be charged;

When the request is received between 15 and 29 days before check-in, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total amount will be charged;

Reservations cancelled less than 15 days prior to check-in will forfeit 100% of the total amount;

For delayed check-ins or early check-outs we charge 50% of the balance remaining after the minimum stay requirement has been met.

For Carnival and Christmas the number of days before check-in must be doubled.

The balance (when existing) can be reimbursed (plus charge of 33% bank tax of the amount refunded, if deposit) or available as a credit for future accommodation and must be utilized up to 1 year after the reservation is cancelled, after this date the credit will be automatically canceled.

Are there any taxes to be added to the rates?

There is only a 3% Tax charged.

How far is the Resort from Florianópolis Airport (FLN)?

Ponta dos Ganchos is located on a privately-owned peninsula, approximately 50 minutes drive from Florianopolis International Airport, or 15 minutes by helicopter.

Does the hotel offer a transfer service?

Yes. The hotel offers private transfers in executive cars (for up to 3 guests), vans (for up to 8 guests) or helicopters (for up to 5 guests, depending on the aircraft). The helicopter is subject to availability and weather conditions.

Does the resort accept reservations for families with children?

Due to the nature of the peninsula and the need to preserve the calm and tranquillity that our guests demand, we welcome guests 18 years and older, except on the following dates: Brazilian Mother´s Day, Brazilian Father´s Day and Christmas when we accept children over 12 years old.

Does the resort accept pets?

In order to maintain the calm and tranquillity of the Resort, pets are not allowed.

Is there a minimum stay required?

In January the minimum stay is 4-nights. All other months the minimum stay at Ponta dos Ganchos is 2-nights. Please consult minimum stay during holidays and special dates.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in starts at 2pm, and check-out is up to 12pm noon.

Is it possible to check-out late if necessary?

Late check-outs are subject to availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed in advance. Guests will be advised of availability on the day of departure. Should the bungalow not be available, guests can enjoy the hotel’s public areas for as long as needed. In case it is necessary to guarantee this service, one daily rate will be charged.

I will arrive at the resort before the check-in time, is it possible to have an early check-in?

Early check-ins are subject to availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed in advance. Should the bungalow not be available before 2pm, incoming guests can enjoy the hotel’s public areas until their bungalow becomes available. In case it is necessary to guarantee this service, one daily rate will be charged.

How does the Dinner on the Island work?

This is a romantic dinner for two served on a private island facing of the resort and available for just one couple per night. The couple choose the time they wish to dine and there is no set time to leave. The menu is specially prepared by our Chef and wine and champagne are chosen to complement the menu. The waiter will be exclusively dedicated to the couple and a walkie-talkie is provided to communicate with him, in the interests of intimacy. There is a high demand for this package, so we recommend that you make reservations in advance.

Does the Resort have a Spa?

Yes. There is a choice of aesthetic and relaxing massages, which can be scheduled at the time of booking or at the resort, subject to availability. However, it is worth mentioning that the Spa does not offer weight loss treatments.

Do all the bungalows have sea views?

Yes, all the bungalows enjoy sea views and almost all of them also have a view of the sunset.

Is it possible to hold events at the resort?

Yes. For events/parties it is necessary to reserve the entire hotel (i.e. all 25 bungalows). Having booked the whole resort (for at least 2 nights), you can hold the event anywhere within the hotel’s grounds (beach, games room, restaurant etc.), by prior arrangement with the Ponta dos Ganchos management.

How does it work if I want to have a wedding celebration at the resort?

Ponta dos Ganchos offers three unique wedding celebrations: elopement, private or traditional. Elopement weddings are for only 2 people, whilst Private weddings are for up to 30 guests (including the bride and groom), and are held on the island in front of the beach. For this tyoe of wedding it is necessary to book at least 10 bungalows at the resort for a minimum of 2 nights. To hold a traditional (larger scale) wedding it is necessary to book the entire resort for at least 3 nights. The hotel’s maximum accommodation capacity is 54 guests. Since the entire resort will be at the couple’s disposal a party can be held for up to 140 guests (including the people staying at the hotel) with special menu, cake, desserts, decoration, DJ, musicians, photographers and anything else one may wish to make the event more memorable (some of these are third-party services).

Is it possible to dock my boat at the hotel?

Yes, the resort has anchorage for boats of up to 70 feet (during the day, overnight berths are for boats of up to 50 feet). However, for overnight stays, we recommend the Caiobá Yacht Club, about 5 minutes away from the resort. Contact phone number: (+55) 48 3262 2000.

How do the meals work?

None of our meals have a time limit. Breakfast is a tasting menu, served at Espaço das Bateiras. Lunch and dinner are served at the restaurant, a la carte, and snacks and hors·d’oeuvres are also available.

Is there internet at the resort?

Yes, at no additional cost. The whole resort area has Wi-Fi internet.
